Richard Mason, Kenneth Griffith, and Earl Smock were riding ATVs in the backwoods of Signal Mountain near Chattanooga, Tennessee and were found murdered. They convicted Frank Casteel for the crime, as he was known for threatening trespassers with his shotgun.
