There were many landmark events in Canada's Centennial Year, but one of the most exciting was the Centennial Voyageur Canoe Pageant. For months, 10 teams from eight provinces and two territories, rowed from Rocky Mountain House, Alberta to Montreal.
It remains the longest canoe race in history.
