There is a passage of Scripture so familiar that many of us have heard it read at weddings, seen it framed on walls, and encountered it in greeting cards. First Corinthians 13. Love is patient. Love is kind. We nod along. We smile. And then we move on with our day, largely unchanged.
But what if familiarity has actually become one of the greatest obstacles to truly receiving what this passage is saying?
