You can have a calendar packed Monday morning to Sunday night and feel on top of the world. You can also have wide-open weekends and still end every day face-down on the sofa, doom scrolling, with nothing left. So what gives?
It’s not a time management problem. Every person, environment, and task in your life is either generating your aliveness or consuming it. Burnout happens when too much of your day lands in the “consuming” column, and you keep doing it anyway because you don’t want to seem ungrateful, disruptive, or dramatic.
In this episode, I’m walking you through the one question I come back to every time I feel burnt out, the story of how I had MORE energy with a baby on my hip and two businesses than I did years later doing far less, and why “boundaries” don’t mean getting other people to behave. They mean protecting the thing only you can protect.
What you’ll learn: ▸ The difference between generative and consumptive energy (and how to spot each in your own week) ▸ Why burnout and overwhelm come from a mismatch between your inner world and your outer world ▸ The “neutral” reframe that takes the guilt out of wanting something different ▸ How to tell when something that used to light you up has quietly started draining you ▸ What boundaries actually protect (hint: it’s not your schedule) ▸ Where to start if you keep abandoning your spiritual practice and forgetting yourself
Go through your calendar this week. What’s generating aliveness? What’s consuming it? That’s where this work begins.
