Premier League matchweek 4 recap “The Rebranding is Ridiculous”

Dela

Arsenal held off a scrappy Sunderland side, 2-0. David Raya's penalty save on Le Fée kept it level before Bruno G broke through two minutes later. Manchester City won 1-0 at Old Trafford despite playing over an hour with ten men, a result that says as much about United's toothlessness as it does about City's resilience.

Among the newly promoted clubs, Brighton put five past Coventry as the Sky Blues' struggles deepen, Ipswich edged Palace 3-2 on the road despite a second half red card, and Hull held Chelsea to a 2-2 draw built on two costly Chelsea mistakes. Three very different trajectories for three new arrivals.

Elsewhere, Forest beat Villa 2-1 behind a new signing's impact, Liverpool and Fulham played out a strange goalless draw built on defensive errors, Bournemouth and Brentford shared a wild 2-2, Everton and Spurs cancelled each other out at 0-0, and Leeds thumped Newcastle 4-1 in a manic 17-minute spell either side of half time.

Away from the pitch, Sam Huston came into this one fired up, and it led to a heated back and forth with Sam Graham. The Sams break it all down this week on the DU Football Show. New episode up now at dufootballshow.com or wherever you get your podcasts.
