Behind The Smoke will periodically discuss many topics that affect our communities from time to time & for our third episode entitled “Speak To Us!” we tackle Prison Reform. This seems to be a popular topic out of the mouths of politicians that are campaigning for your vote. I myself was in federal prison & it was damn near impossible to get a job that was worth having. In addition to that, what are the politicians doing for the inner city youth that have little to no options in the form of employment? That answer will affect both the newly released from prison, as well as the ones that haven’t been in. Speak to them and you’ll gain new voters because felony or not, they’re all capable of voting.
