Eliot's book - and a lot of what we talk about today - is about how he feels alienated for not fitting in with the (supposed) mainstream gay lifestyle. We talk about how a lot of his issues revolve around how he sees himself in comparison to this gay apotheosis, and how it makes him feel when he actively tries to fit in.
