Jolene and Saul were on Youtube and came across a video by Dungeon Craft and he was talking about the future of D&D. He predicted that when a 6th edition of D&D comes out in the next few years it would be "Digital Only", meaning there would be no physical books and the only way to get the rules is going to be online. Specifically through the D&D Beyond.
As evidence, he pointed to a Gizmoto article about how 'the latest now officially called D&D 5.5 looks a bit Video Gamey. He also quoted Chris Cocks President of Hasbro. So after watching this video Saul was convinced that the next incarnation of D&D will be All Digital.
Jolene was not so convinced, which lead to a lengthy "discussion" and that became the basis for this episode. What would happen if the next D&D went all Digital? How would it affect the TTRPG Industry? Listen and see what you think.
Thank you all for Listening!
