What exactly are we supposed to believe changed? The policies? The people? Or just the agency that designed the campaign graphics?

You might not like Trump. He may irritate you. He may say something that makes you want to turn down the television.
But my view is that he tells you the truth about the problems this country faces. He doesn’t require me to call a crisis a triumph just so his friends can have a pleasant afternoon.
When he talks about the border, spending, or confronting an adversary, I know what he intends to do.

Democrats want the conversation to end at Trump’s personality because the next question takes us straight to their performance.
I’m not hiring a dinner companion. I’m choosing who gets authority over the country my children live in.
The Left keeps confusing a complaint with a conversion. An American can complain about a bill without volunteering to put the Democrats back in charge of writing it.
And here’s my message to Republicans: give voters something concrete to defend. Explain the work. Show the result. If there’s more to do, tell people what comes next and why. Don’t stand there looking frightened because a television panel has scheduled your funeral.
Get up. Show up. Follow up.
Campaign. Make the argument. Make Democrats explain the alternative beyond their feelings about Donald Trump.
Meanwhile, I’ll keep the poll numbers and the predictions. I like documentation with my dinner.
Democrats can tell one another what they want to hear all the way to November.
I’ll be asking the question they’re trying to skip: after everything Americans have lived through, why should we believe you?
And if their answer is another poll, somebody pass the crow.
