SZN 26 | My First Recurve Buck… Or So I Thought - The Fall Podcast | Lyssna här

I finally got my first real opportunity at a buck with my recurve—and what happened after the arrow hit is a reminder that not every hunt ends the way we hope.

Season 26 is officially underway, and in this episode I’m giving you a real-time update on my 2026 whitetail season. I break down the hunt from start to finish, my recurve setup, the 15-yard opportunity, the shot, and the five-plus-hour tracking job with Taylor and Mace that followed.

I’m also talking early October deer movement, acorns hitting the ground, the water hole and scrape setup that brought this buck in, and a new 10-point that recently showed up on camera.

This is the good, the bad and the frustrating side of chasing whitetails with a traditional bow—and I’m laying it all out there. No sugarcoating it. Just an honest look at what happened and where the season goes from here.
