Intersex filmmaker and actor River Gallo debuted their first feature-length film “Ponyboi” on June 27th, turning their “otherness” into their power. Coming of age in an antiquated world that tried to erase them by deeming their intersex variant medically and socially “faulty,” River discovered the truth of their wholeness through the joy of self-expression, sobriety, and spiritual enlightenment.
