Bryan Batista-Thomas spearheaded the premier, now annual, Laplanche in the Clinic event in the United States, modeled after the Journées internationales Jean Laplanche. He is the author of Readings of Jean Laplanche in Process: Conversations Amplifying Differences (Routledge, 2026), is coediting the translation of Vocabulaire de Laplanche (PUF, 2024) / The Language of Jean Laplanche (Routledge, 2027) into English, and preparing a manuscript provisionally entitled A Laplanchean Style: Technique, Temporality and Method. Batista-Thomas works full-time in private practice providing psychoanalysis, psychoanalytic psychotherapy, supervision, and teaching. https://www.bryanbatistathomas.com
