Navigating the world from a place of vulnerability doesn’t come easy to Johnny, but poetry speaks to the soul, so he’s found the perfect medium. Johnny is fresh from the gym, found his spotlight and is willing to give it a go. After all - it’s what the people want. Strikingly timely in light of the rapidly widening class divide and the evolving discourse around troubled masculinity, Parr presents a gripping and intimate exploration of masculinity, emotional exposure, and the quiet expectations that sit beneath honesty.
