Steve Zakuani and Brad Evans sit down with Stephen Davis, President and CEO of Food Lifeline, the Seattle-based hunger-relief organization working to feed people today while tackling the root causes of hunger for tomorrow. Stephen shares his path from more than a decade in school nutrition and food-service leadership to now guiding Food Lifeline's mission of getting food to millions of neighbors across Western Washington each year. Steve and Brad talk about what food insecurity really looks like in our communities, how food moves from donation to someone's table through Food Lifeline's retail partnerships and mobile food programs, and why policy advocacy is just as essential as the food itself in building a future where everyone has reliable access to a healthy meal.
