Undocumented Mental Health with Jennifer León Salinas, LMFT

Dela

Today in this segment, I talked with Jennifer León Salinas, about the emotional and physical impacts hostile policies and public discourse have on undocumented mental health, where we look closely at the well-being of living undocumented within our current American societal systems. We explored how Jennifer helps individuals navigate the realities of immigrant enforcement stemming from societal hostility. Jennifer shared her family's migration story and surviving as an undocumented child, giving us context how deeply our political climate impacts long-term undocumented mental health.

About today's guest: Jennifer is a bilingual LMFT based in Los Angeles, adjunct graduate professor, and a first generation, undocumented/DACAmented immigrant from Michoacan Mexico who approaches trauma through a liberation and social justice lens. She is also the founder of MujeresxPsych, a nationally recognized platform dedicated to increasing representation and access in the field of psychology. Jennifer is accepting clients in the state of California!
