Some Banks meet their compliance goals by donating to nonprofit organizations.
*Washington State Senator Rebecca Saldana (D)-37th LD served as Chair, Labor & Commerce; Rules Committee: Ways & Means Committee; Agriculture & Natural Resources Committee. She will comment on some of her legislative accomplishments during the last session.
*Attorney Jesse Wineberry Sr., Co Founder & Director, Washington Equity Now Alliance (WENA) comments on the organization's meeting with Governor Bob Ferguson's Office that was held on July 13 to express concerns about the status of the Reparations contract that was awarded to a Dupont Washington firm six months ago.
*Hayward Evans, president, Seattle King County Branch NAACP provides an update on the early stages of his tenure in the leadership role. Due to an automobile accident he was unable to attend the NAACP Annual Meeting in Chicago last week.
*Reverend Dr. Leslie D. Braxton, Pastor, New Beginnings Christian Fellowship (NBCF), Kent WA will celebrate the Church's 21st Anniversary and his 65th Birthday on Saturday, August 1 at NBCF. Pastor Braxton will allow himself to be "Roasted" by friends and colleagues to raise money for church programs. Isiah Anderson will be the MC.
*Lewis Rudd, Co Founder & President, Ezell's Famous Chicken was recently honored by the Seattle Medium Newspaper's Best of the Best For-Profit Business Owner/CEO. He also led the Ezell's skaters in the Chinatown Parade last Sunday and they will skate in the Torch Light Parade Saturday.
