Episode 394: The 35th Anniversary of The Lethal Lottery

On this episode of Grilling JR, Jim Ross and Conrad Thompson celebrate the 35th anniversary of WCW's Starrcade '91: BattleBowl: The Lethal Lottery! The guys travel back to December 29, 1991, at the Norfolk Scope in Norfolk, Virginia, for one of the most unique events in WCW history.

JR revisits the chaotic Lethal Lottery concept, featuring randomly selected tag teams battling for entry into the BattleBowl battle royal. In the main event, Sting survived the field to win BattleBowl and earn a WCW World Championship opportunity at SuperBrawl II. The guys also discuss WCW presenting its first pay-per-view without the NWA name, reported problems involving road agent Mike Graham, Johnny B. Badd's babyface turn and the WWF's announcement of a new steroid-testing policy. Plus, JR reflects on Ric Flair returning the Big Gold Belt, the closing of Portland Wrestling and much more on this star-studded edition of Grilling JR!
