The Toronto Blue Jays have lost the first game of the series to the Cleveland Guardians, as they struggle to find offense in a 6-1 loss. Gavin Williams was incredible on the mound today, racking up 13 strikeouts in one of the dominant efforts we have seen by a starting pitcher this season. One run in a baseball game is never going to be enough, especially in a series where you are playing the team directly in front of you in the standings. The Blue Jays put themselves in a tough spot, but everytime this season when you thought the Blue Jays might be out of it, they have pulled you right back in, and we will need another one of those outings with Dylan Cease on the mound.
