Frank Turek was Charlie’s mentor and friend and stood behind him until the final moments of his life. He joins Allie for a tribute to Charlie a year to the day since he was assassinated by sharing fond memories and how he was personally impacted by Charlie’s intelligence and obedience to Scripture. Frank looks back on his experience the day of Charlie' s death and how that moment has impacted culture. With all of the confusion that has erupted and slander that has been aimed at Christianity and Charlie’s family, Frank provides helpful tools to engage effectively with others and presents his new book, “The War on Reality: Recovering Truth in a World That Celebrates Lies.” He discusses reasons Christians should be involved in politics and how Charlie modeled that in such a beautiful way through his humility and how he welcomed and encouraged open dialogue. Frank concludes by reminiscing on Charlie's final days and words and why they should be kept in mind as people honor his life and legacy. This conversation is encouraging and equipping to believers as well as a somber reminder that surrendering to reality, to Christ, is what brings peace, even in the darkest of times.
