Earlier this year, Oxford scholar Simukai Chigudu gave Tariq an account of his recent trip to Zimbabwe, following the fall of long-time President Robert Mugabe.
Chigudu spoke about the mood among ordinary people, the interim president Emmerson 'Crocodile' Mnangagwa, and weighed up the effectiveness of the main opposition party.
