She left school at fifteen, sold a brand to Caterpillar at twenty-four, and never told anyone what she could actually do.

Linzi Boyd left school at fifteen. By twenty-four she had sold a global footwear brand to Caterpillar.
She spent seventeen years after that building names you would recognise, wrote Brand Famous, and founded One Earth Global.

And for fifty years she carried something she never spoke about publicly.
Then on the Troy Devine Podcast In this episode she says it out loud for the first time.

We talk about the knowing that arrives before the evidence. The gut feeling your
head argues with. The pull you cannot explain, and keep quiet, because it does not
fit the room you are standing in.

Linzi links those fifty years of silence to a cough she could not shake for
eighteen months. Then she noticed she never coughed once while telling the truth.

Somewhere in the middle of this, my mother turned up.

This is not a business episode. It is a conversation about remembering who you
are, why that gets harder the more successful you look from the outside, and what
becomes possible when you stop performing.

If you have ever known something you could not prove, this one is for you.
