I was burnt out, overwhelmed, physically unraveling, and still trying to talk myself out of the one thing I actually needed: to get quiet, get alone, and come back to ME.
So on my 39th birthday, I booked a solo trip to Salt Spring Island in British Columbia. No schedule. No alarm. No phone. Just me, pine trees, a 1500-foot hike, a lake I jumped into with zero towel situation, and a kismet moment on the ferry I still can't believe.
This episode is one of the most personal things I've ever shared.
We cover:
The burnout that shows up in your body before your brain admits it
Being the strong woman who forgets to take care of herself
My solo retreat to Salt Spring Island, the signs, the strangers, the moments
The vows I made to myself at 39
