Ep. 438: More than Animal rights, "Etna" by Paul Yoon gives animals voice.

Paul Yoon's "Etna" is a novel told in first dog/first person narrative form. They are all survivors making a life in a post-war-apocalyptic age.

Could "Etna" be the dog story of our time, one that goes beyond animal rights, and addresses animal voice?

And his guide as he wrote it was always his 12-year-old dog Oscar.

Emil Guillermo talks with author Paul Yoon about balancing the dog world and the human world in a book about both.
