Jim Carrey stars as a man unaware that his known reality has been built around and is the subject of a long-running and popular television series in director Peter Weir's THE TRUMAN SHOW. 

Also, Albert Brooks plays himself as an acclaim-seeking filmmaker trying to document the day-to-day ins and outs of a regular American family in his 1979 comedy REAL LIFE.
