Select 395: Mixed by Shiko

This week on Select, we spotlight Shiko, one of the emerging names in a new wave coming out of Cairo's underground electronic scene.

For his debut Select mix, the Egyptian takes us on a journey through the colourful shades of house music, opening with an Italo house cut before gradually weaving through deep house, electro, and acid-infused grooves.

Built around emotive synth work and warm, hypnotic melodies, the set moves seamlessly between introspective moments and high-energy peaks, featuring standout selections like Sedef Adasi’s ‘Turbo', Don Carlos’ ‘Alone’, and Cignol’s ‘Modularity’.
