Welcome to RadioFolk.dk’s podcast, Folk Live. In this edition of the podcast, we will be featuring Danish The Mukherjee Development in a concert recorded at the famous Danish Tønder Festival that runs the last weekend of August every year.
Danish/American/Indian frontman Oscar Mukherjee grew up in California, before moving to Denmark in his teens. The Mukherjee Development embraces his three different cultural backgrounds, with songs about devotion and identity in multi-cultural 21st century.
The band was formed at the height of of the pandemic in 2020, and is now touring Denmark and Sweden all year round. The Mukherjee Development is:
Oscar Mukherjee on vocal and guitar, Jacob Holm on guitar, Søren Bigum on guitar, steel guitars and keyboards, Henrik Poulsen on bass, and Søren Poulsen on drums.
