The Dark Days are beginning to give way to something different.
We pick up the story at the start of the 2016 season, as County beat Alfreton Town 4-3 on the opening day. Sponsors are beginning to return, there are signs of life around Edgeley Park and, slowly, things are starting to feel a little more like a football club again.
But it’s still far from rosy.
Russ, Simon and Phil spend more than an hour charting the next chapter of County’s turbulent story – from Life Presidents and Manchester City holding events at Edgeley Park, to a young Mo Salah, Gabriel Jesus and Sergio Aguero making an appearance in the County story.
We talk about the buckets for Jim’s player fund, the people who helped keep County moving forward, and ultimately what it actually means to be Stockport County.
The Dark Days series continues – but perhaps, finally, there really is some light at the end of the tunnel.
