In this episode, Dr. Jeanmarie Perrone sits down to discuss her new article The Shifting Landscape of a Fentanyl Adulterant: Moving From Xylazine to Medetomidine featured in the May/June issue of the Journal of Addiction Medicine.

Jeanmarie Perrone, MD is a Professor in the Department of Emergency Medicine, the Director of Addiction Toxicology, and the founding Director of the Penn Center for Addiction Medicine and Policy, all at the University of Pennsylvania. Dr. Perrone has led multiple initiatives through the emergency department for the initiation of treatment for substance use disorders.  Dr. Perrone has been recognized with several awards for education and mentorship and is board certified in emergency medicine, medical toxicology and addiction medicine.
