In this episode, we welcome Derwin Gray back to the show. He is a pastor, author, and former NFL player. He is the founder and lead pastor of Transformation Church in Indian Land, South Carolina. He was drafted by the Indianapolis Colts and played for them from 1993-1997 and then the Carolina Panthers in 1998. He has written several books to include his new book “It’s Time to Heal: Four God-Given Steps to Restore What Life Has Shattered”. In this interview, we discuss the process he went through to extend grace and forgiveness to his father, how his father responded in prison to the letter Derwin sent, how we can forgive someone that we don’t even know, his thoughts on the current landscape of the business of college football, the difference between being a “Conservative Christian” and a “Christian Conservative”, and much more.
