Cam Roigard's defending his actions in the lead-up to their first try in the Hurricanes' emphatic Super Rugby semifinal win over the Blues.

The All Blacks halfback had fallen heavily after being clipped by Beauden Barrett while taking a high ball.

Standing up as both teams milled around the referee - Roigard before took a quick tap and raced up field, before Jordie Barrett dotted down.
