Former US Consul General to Hong Kong & Macau, Kurt Tong, who now serves as Managing Partner, The Asia Group, discussed President Biden’s recent trip to Asia and the newly launched Indo-Pacific Economic Framework (IPEF). An expert on the Indo-Pacific affairs, Kurt believes that the IPEF is a step in the right direction for the US to engage with allies in the region. The framework also provides the opportunity for both the public and private sectors to address supply chain issues in a collaborative manner.
