The Word and the Spirit: What the Church is Missing

Can the Church have the power of the Holy Spirit without being grounded in the Word of God?

In this conversation, Pastor Rod Parsley welcomes Dr. James Tan, Bishop of City Harvest Network, to discuss one of the greatest needs facing the Church today: a generation firmly rooted in God's Word and empowered by the Holy Spirit.

From Dr. Tan's remarkable journey of faith in Singapore to the lasting influence of Dr. Lester Sumrall, this episode explores the importance of spiritual foundations, authentic revival, discipleship, and raising up the next generation of believers. Together, Pastor Parsley and Dr. Tan challenge the Church to move beyond emotional experiences, cultural trends, and surface-level Christianity to embrace a faith built on biblical truth, genuine encounters with the Holy Spirit, and a commitment to winning souls.

This is more than a conversation about the future of the Church. It's a call to return to the foundations of our faith and carry the fire of Pentecost into the next generation.
