Future roles and global perspectives: VN prescriber research and Mind Matters International

In the latest episode of the RCVS podcast, we’re joined by our in-house Research Manager, Vicki Bolton, and our new Chair of Veterinary Nurses Council, Kirsty Young RVN, to explore our recently published research on the possibility of a future veterinary nurse prescriber role. We chat about how the research came about, what it showed and next steps moving forward.

We’re then joined by our CEO, Lizzie Lockett and Dr Jen Brandt, the Director of Member Wellbeing Initiatives at the American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA) to talk about the work of MMI International - an initiative formed to bring together leading veterinary organisations from around the world to tackle mental health challenges within the veterinary professions. They will be discussing the most recent developments of the initiative, including the new Vital Transitions events.
