The Haunted Confederate Woman's Home - Part II

More than a century ago, a historic building in Austin, Texas, opened as the Confederate Woman's Home, providing care for aging wives and widows of Confederate veterans. Over the decades that followed, it would continue serving those in need, eventually becoming home to AGE of Central Texas and several other organizations. Seven years after The Night Owl first attempted to investigate this historic property, an unexpected request for help brought the team back to a case they thought they'd lost for good.In Part One, listeners heard stories from former employees about some rather strange experiences inside the building—from kitchen cabinets and drawers inexplicably found wide open, and a radio that seemed to change stations on its own, to reports of women dressed in clothing from another era, a frightening sensation of being pushed down a narrow staircase, and an unsettling reputation surrounding a detached building out back. And while the team finally managed to assemble and investigate the property on August 15th, the story was far from over.Because shortly after Part One aired, something unexpected happened.People began reaching out. More former employees. More firsthand accounts. And one particularly intriguing story from a former high school football player who once used that mysterious building out back as his team's weight room. These new voices had no part in the investigation. In fact, the team didn't hear from them until weeks after it was over. And what they remembered would add even more layers to an already mysterious place.
