Oregon hits the road this weekend for a Big Ten showdown against Illinois, and the Ducks have plenty of questions to answer as they look to build momentum following their hard-fought victory over Nebraska.
On this edition of the Autzen Audibles Podcast, Matt Prehm and Erik Skopil break down Oregon's upcoming matchup against the Fighting Illini, discuss the biggest storylines surrounding the program, and offer their predictions for how Saturday's game will unfold.
The show opens with a discussion of the off-field situations surrounding Oregon's football program before shifting to the latest injury updates and how potential absences could impact the Ducks. Matt and Erik also examine the overall mood surrounding the team as Oregon prepares for another challenging conference matchup.
From there, the conversation turns to the action on the field. Can Oregon's defense continue its impressive stretch of performances and carry the Ducks against Illinois' offense? What challenges will the Fighting Illini present, and where can Oregon create advantages?
On the other side of the ball, the biggest question remains whether Oregon's struggling offense can find some consistency. Matt and Erik discuss the quarterback situation, the importance of establishing the running game, and what needs to improve for the Ducks to produce a more complete offensive performance.
The episode concludes with Matt and Erik selecting their game MVPs and making their final score predictions for Oregon's road trip to Illinois.
