Congress just put the Smithsonian director on the hot seat over some of the most ridiculous taxpayer-funded exhibits you’ll ever see. Regular Americans take their families to the National Museum of American History expecting the story of our country. Instead, they’re finding overtly sexual transgender displays, including content involving kids, and a staff toolkit that flat-out labels politeness and objectivity as white supremacy. House Republicans laid out the photos, the diary entries, and the MASS Action materials in black and white. Nearly a billion dollars a year in public money is flowing into this. The director’s answers were pure deflection. This isn’t preserving history. It’s rewriting it to fit an ideology most parents never signed up for.
