Friday 1st of June 1990, at 5:52pm, three off-duty Army recruits were shot at Lichfield City train station by two members of the Provisional IRA; Privates Robert Parkin & Neil Evans were injured, but being shot twice in the head in an execution style killing, Private William Robert Davies died.
