Issue 669: Lanterns Ep. 8 "Dirt and Stars" Spoiler Review & the Future of the DCU

Today on the podcast Jong, Chalice, and Michael are back together again to discuss the season finale of Lanterns. The trio speak about John's final steps into becoming the superhero we know from comics and animation, whether the finale was anticlimatic, the reveal of who killed Hal Jordan, the change that John makes to the Lantern oath, how the film could lead into Man of Tomorrow, and more. Plus, the group discuss the future of the DCU, projects being stand outs so far, and why the slow moving connected universe might not work for DC Studios new owners.

Then to close out this issue, Chalice got the chance to speak with Bassam Tariq, the director of the new film Your Mother Your Mother Your Mother. The director explains how he wanted to bring Houston to the silver screen as he grew up in the city, why Mahershala is such a standout person to work with on the project, the Houston based choices for John Cho's character, and more!
