This Isn't What You Think It Is is all about the invisible world of neurodivergence — ADHD, autism, dyslexia, and everything in between.

Every episode, Ms. Lee sits down with partners, parents, friends, and neurodivergent folks to get real about what it's actually like to be wired differently and what it's like to support and love someone who is. Expect honest stories, genuine laughs, and plenty of those “Wait, THAT'S why they do that?!" moments.

Nobody gets fixed here. Nobody has all the answers.  What does happen? People get to be heard, understood, and laugh a little at the beautiful chaos of it all. Each episode loosely follows three parts:

The Before:
Life and relationships before diagnosis.
The After: How diagnosis changes everything (and nothing).
The Possibility: Imagining new ways forward together.

In episode 1- That’s What Friends Are For:

Laura Rowe got her diagnosis later in life.  An ADHD Empath,  she discusses her journey and has her friend Vanessa talk to us about what it means to show up for someone wired differently.
