In 2011, Jocelyn Wyatt cofounded IDEO.org, the nonprofit design organization with a mission to apply human-centered design to alleviating poverty. Her work as the CEO is shifting the center of problem-solving from conference rooms and nonprofit offices to the places where people being served live and work. In Episode 5 of "Design The Life You Love," Ayse talks with Jocelyn about her experiences in the world of social innovation and how designing for a cause is different from designing for a profit, and that when the stakes are high and you're designing to solve a social problem, levity and playfulness are critical to the process.
