Trains, trams and tolls take focus of Vic election campaign

The Victorian Labor government says it will cap public transport fares to $30 a week if re-elected in next month's state election.

This follows an announcement it made on the weekend promising to cap road tolls to the same amount for a year.

Meanwhile, the Coalition opposition says the government is mimicking its platform, after announcing a similar $50 cap on tolls earlier this year.
