40 Ḥadīth of Imām an-Nawawī (Islam Teesside), taught by Shaykh Abu Iyaad Amjad Rafiq (hafidhahullāh)
• Continuing the 7th ḥadīth, of Tamīm ad-Dārī: "The religion is naṣīḥah", with the explanation of Shaykh Ṣāliḥ Āl ash-Shaykh (hafidhahullāh)
• Recap: naṣīḥah to Allāh, His Book and His Messenger is fulfilling the rights owed to them, and naṣīḥah to the rulers includes obeying them in good, supplicating for them and not rebelling
• Sincere advice to the rulers is one of their rights
• The meaning of "aʾimmah" and "wulāt al-amr": the rightly guided caliphs were both rulers and scholars, and after them the term came to include the scholars and the rulers
• Naṣīḥah to the common Muslims: every mutual right between Muslims enters into it, and whoever falls short in what Allāh commanded has fallen short in naṣīḥah
• Beginning Shaykh Ibn ʿUthaymīn's (raḥimahullāh) explanation: naṣīḥah to the Book of Allāh is believing its reports, following its commands, avoiding its prohibitions, holding its rulings to be the best, and believing it is Allāh's speech in letter and meaning
