• The ḥadīth of ʿUmar: actions are only by intentions – a foundation of the religion • Ikhlāṣ (sincerity) is one and the same as Tawḥīd al-Ulūhiyyah • "And they were not commanded except to worship Allāh, making the religion sincerely for Him" • The three people (the fighter, the scholar, the generous man) who sought the praise of people and gained only that • The creation cannot give you reward in the Hereafter, so seek nearness to Allāh, not to the people • Only the first khuṭbah was captured
