Health New Zealand is celebrating meeting its nursing target, with 1800 roles being offered to graduates over the next year.
The organisation says there's a wide range of opportunities across the country – including at hospitals and with primary, aged, and community providers.
It says this is essential to building a sustainable long-term workforce across the health sector.
Chief Nurse Nadine Gray told Mike Hosking most studying nurses can be confident there will be a job available once they graduate.
She says this has been the case for most students coming out of university and polytech in the past year.
