When the world feels overwhelming, it's easy to live in anxiety and fear. But faith and fear can't live in the same moment, and we get to choose which one we feed.
In this episode, I share a simple exercise I heard from someone in a 12-step meeting: look back over your life and write down the good things that happened that you never saw coming. Even five years' worth will surprise you. I talk about how this practice helps me trust God, quiet anxiety, and stay grounded after 20 years of sobriety.
We also talk about:
Faith vs. fear and how to switch from one to the other
Why we're powerless over so much, and what that teaches us about trusting something bigger than ourselves
How AI voice-cloning scams are changing families, and why you need a family code word
Why real friends, community, and even a game of Mahjong can lift you out of fear
Finding what "God" means to you if organized religion isn't your thing
I also share the story of my pink bungalow by the sea, a prayer that took years to be answered.
