Talking Diddly Bows with Chuck Bitautas

Chuck builds what I call a Chucky-bow. It's a short scale one or two string instrument, different than anything you have ever seen. It borrows from the traditional D-bow formula of simplicity, being built on a short ,klithick length of timber but it's a lot shorter and utilises a piezo or mag pup for amplification. It actually reminds me of a sawn-off shotgun. The great Justin Johnson played one on stage as well.

Chuck is down to earth and has a great love of music especially punk which is his passion. His instruments are cut from the same sheet of cloth; raw, exciting and unique.
