Jared McColloch has been missing for going on three years.   November 2023, he set out on a trip from Louisiana to Illinois to see his son.   He was last seen on November 5, at a gas station in Carmi, Illinois, and possibly later in St. Francisville, Illinois.  His truck was found abandoned on the next day in a remote area near the Wabash River in Knox County, Indiana. The truck's doors were open and his two dogs were inside.   The ignition on, but the battery was dead and the gas tank was empty.

Law enforcement from both Illinois and Indiana have been involved in the search with extensive searches conducted using drones, thermal imaging, and boats, and volunteer ground searches.  Surveillance footage, cell phone records, and witness reports have been collected, but his current location remains unknown.
