On the morning of May 24th, 2019, police officers were called to a home on Gregg House Road in Shiregreen, a northern suburb of Sheffield, in South Yorkshire, England. They were responding to a call about violence towards children. When they arrived, six children were found unconscious inside the home; they were treated at the Sheffield Children's Hospital, where the two oldest children later died. Two people, 39 year old Brandon Machin, and 35 year old Sarah Barrass, were arrested for murdering two of their children.
