He grew up in Maroubra Housing Commission as the son of immigrants before making the highest grossing documentary in Australian history (Bra Boys), partying with Paris Hilton, hanging with RZA from the Wu Tang Clan, and serving as the understudy to Russel Crowe. In between he was on hand to watch his group of friends from Maroubra scale the heights of professional rugby league and surfing. Today he is a mentor to local youth and continues to make films, documentaries, music film clips, and more.
