This last Wednesday on October 30th, flight FZ1073 took off from Dubai, on a routine flight to Tel Aviv. The plane was being flown by Indian pilot captain Smit Machchhar, with a Muslim Co-pilot from Dubai. On board were 166 Israelis, and 8 people from other countries, on their way to visit Israel.Â
No one could have anticipated the dramatic events that unfolded in the time span of just a few short minutes. This may be one of the most dramatic close calls in aviation history, and many are claiming it was a miracle that the flight didn't end in disaster. Ben Hilton breaks it all down for you on today's video.
